Believing is seeing!
It is often said that “seeing is believing,” but it is also true that “believing is seeing.” “Believing is seeing” is really about vision. It is about believing in your vision so you truly manifest what you want. People too often worry and focus on their past failures. We think that because we failed at a task in the past, we will certainly fail again the next time. But instead of focusing on what we don’t want to happen again we could envision what we really want and focus our energy on that. We should not and cannot let the past control our futures. Every day we are offered a new opportunity to learn, grow and become better human beings. And we can do that by focusing on what we want, not on what we don’t want. Of course, we can learn from our mistakes, but we do not need to let the fear of making mistakes dictate how we act today or tomorrow. Having a vision is different from making a plan. Having a vision allows us to dream of what is possible if we don’t let the fear of failure or negative past experiences guide our thinking. It allows us to have a fresh view of any situation. Believing is seeing is a creative process and it is an ongoing process that can change our lives for the better. It is about daring to dream. When it comes to learning and growing, ‘‘believing is seeing’’ is very powerful. I know there are many children who do not have a CAP yet. Some people may give up because they failed in the past and stopped trying. But I believe every child can obtain a CAP, and I believe every child can obtain all 5 CAPs. It is about believing in your children and helping them believe in themselves. It is a challenge that takes effort and time. If you are ready to make the effort and take the time to do it, you will succeed. I encourage you to create a vision of your child with a Blue CAP or even holding a graduation certificate. I believe in all of you. I know you can do it. See it. Believe it. Always remember that in order to succeed your journey starts with having a fresh vision. Create your dream. Believing is seeing!
信念をもてば実現する
「百聞は一見にしかず」ということわざは、英語では「見ることは信じること」と表現しますが、それを逆にして「信じることは見ること」つまり「信念をもてば実現する」という表現もできると思うのです。それはつまり、将来への展望をもち、自分が将来どうしたいのか信念をもって明確にするということです。人は過去の失敗について心配したり悩んだりしがちです。過去に失敗すると、また同じ失敗をするのではないかと考えてしまうのでしょう。二度と失敗したくないと思い悩むよりも、これから起こりうるよいことを思い描くことに集中したほうがよいのではないでしょうか。自分の未来を過去に支配させるべきではないし、させてはいけません。私たちは、新しいことを学んだり成長したりして、よりよい人間になる機会を日々与えられています。その機会を活かすためには、やりたくないことではなく、やりたいと思うことに集中することです。もちろん失敗から学ぶこともできますが、失敗を恐れて今日や明日の自分の行動を制限する必要はありません。将来への展望をもつということは、計画を立てることとは違います。失敗を恐れたり過去にうまくいかなかった経験にとらわれたりせずに、実現可能になるであろうことを思い描くということです。どんな状況に対しても新たな視点をもつことができるようになります。「信念をもてば実現する」というのは、人生をよい方向へ変えていくための独創的で持続的な作業で、思い切って夢を見ることでもあります。学習や成長に関して言えば、「信念をもてば実現する」は大きな力を発揮します。CAPの帽子をまだもらっていないお子さんはたくさんいます。中には一度不合格になってそれ以来やめてしまった人もいるかもしれません。でも私はすべてのお子さんが帽子をもらえると思っていますし、誰もが5色すべての帽子を手に入れることができると信じています。それは、お子さんを信じること、お子さんが自分自身を信じられるよう見守ることで達成できるでしょう。努力と時間を要する大変な仕事ですが、そのための努力と時間を惜しまなければきっと成功します。お子さんがブルーCAPを修了する、さらには卒業証書を手にするという信念をもちましょう。みなさんのことを信じています。絶対にできると思います。ぜひ実現してください、信念をもち続けて。目標に向かう旅を成功させるためには、新たな展望をもつことが大切だということを忘れないでください。夢をもちましょう。信念をもっていれば必ず実現します！
